OK, maybe I am going to stay in Uruguay for the rest of my life. Let's start with some history.

Back in the day ('96 ish), some European companies were planning on investing in paper pulp factories on the Argentine side of the river that divides Uruguay and Argentina. Everyone was down with that until the big economic crisis hit. The investment was delayed until its end. After the recovery, the investors decided that the Uruguayan side was a better. This happened pretty recently. After that, the Argentines realized that plants like this are bad for water quality and decided that it is completely unacceptable to build these plants and started protesting. The current for of protest is blocking off all of the roads between Uruguay and Argentina.

I was supposed to leave Uruguay last night, but that didn't happen, because I was supposed to take a bus out of Uruguay.
