Sometimes I wonder if things get better the longer ago they happened. Such as how, when I was young, people respected their elders. Whenever I eat anything, I don't judge it on how exquisite it is; things just aren't usually. When I slip and do judge things, I always think, “I cook better than this.”. Having been so long since I've really cooked anything, I wondered if I was suffering from oldtimers disease. I have an apartment, I can cook things for real. I hadn't just dreamed it up; I do cook better than most of the food I've had while on the road. I also discovered that kohlrabi rocks. It's like a cancerous broccoli stem. And that risotto is better once it's made into balls and fried.
